There are infographics found on the Character Creation page, regarding the Born Again character creation process, that provide details regarding what happens when a player rolls a 1d8 (or other as defined by the GM, as circumstances allow) to let fate decide their Playable Species. The following sets of information are the text versions of those infographics.
If the player rolls a 1, their Playable Species is a Djinn.
Optional text the GM may read aloud:
"You are safe child. They will not come for you here. They mistake us for spirits who grant wishes, then quickly discard us when they discover the truth. Do not fret, child. We are not damned. We are Djinn! Through our perseverance, we have built our home through hard work, and we have earned our karma. Now, let’s have a proper look at you. Oh, that’s interesting…”
The player is then instructed to Roll a 1d6.
On a 5 or 6, roll again. When the player achieves a value of 1, 2, 3, or 4, the following "Chosen Attribute" is added to their character sheet:
Wings
Allows the character to fly their standard movement speed in any direction.

Allows for breathing both on land and in water.

If the player rolls a 2, their Playable Species is a Human.
Optional text the GM may read aloud:
"Hello there, little stranger! How fortunate for you to be Human in these trying times. Your people rely on numbers and innovation to survive this unforgiving world. With them, you will find companionship, a fighting spirit, and most of all – ale and a warm hearth. Now, it's difficult to say exactly what's great about being Human, except that the possibilities are endless. Even someone without nobility can do something amazing, although your monarch still decides your fate."
The player is then instructed to Roll a 1d6.
On a 5 or 6, roll again. When the player achieves a value of 1, 2, 3, or 4, the following "Chosen Attribute" is added to their character sheet:

However, they are not without honor, courage, or heritage. Tradition holds a strong influence over the daily lives of Momen, and they typically only congregate in settlements of their own kin. Rare days like today are only the result of prearranged marriages of different settlements to enhance bloodlines and keep the peace. Let your heart beat loud, young one! For you… are now one… of the mighty!"
The player is then instructed to Roll a 1d6.
On a 5 or 6, roll again. When the player achieves a value of 1, 2, 3, or 4, the following "Chosen Attribute" is added to their character sheet:

If the world is using only the original default Playable Species that are supported, then rolling an 8 on a 1d8 should result in instructing the player to re-roll until they achieve a value of 1-7. Additional species supplied by the GM are at the discretion of the GM how Born Again selection works.
