Humans are colonists that thrive on social constructs. Human societies are usually structured into governing bodies and citizens abide by the laws that the governments choose. Monarchs and dictatorship are most common, but there are republics among Human civilizations.
Humans of most worlds will assume the same anatomy and ethnicities of Earth. Because SURGE! does not cater to a specific game world, it is up to the creators of each to determine the rich and diverse histories and culture of each ethnicity present.
Many Human civilizations follow a caste system. Typically, the nobility of the lands are the upper echelon of society, influencing the government to their benefit. Peasantry are citizens who are allowed to own businesses and other lesser establishments and occupy land as permitted by nobility. The lowest rung of society are those in servitude as either serfs or slaves.
Each Human civilization should have its own source of income and unique exports from its neighbors. One thing they will likely always have in common, however, is the safety of a defendable position. Since humans rely on safety in numbers and in unions, a central militia or military is likely established and well fortified.
Humans are as unpredictable as they are dynamic. A typical Human is good-natured, kind, forgiving, and reasonable. Additional behavior types will likely yield variances from their environment in the worlds created by Game Masters and content developers.
Human settlements are typically diverse populations of species, as humans are typically more accepting and inclusive. On the other hand, Humans also greatly vary in their ambitions and values which is why other species may be less trusting of Humans initially. A common notion against Humans is that other species never know if benevolent personas are just a front for more sinister agendas in their pursuit for power.
